Web Design
I prefer Homestead Technologies to design web sites more than any other service I have used. Here is a brief description of my 10 years of using Homestead and why I prefer Homestead Technologies.
It’s not necessary to learn HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) to design a web site. Not only HTML but XHTML, XML, CSS, Front Page, Photoshop, Dremweaver, DHTML or learn scripting languages like (PHP, ASP, Perl, Coldfusion, JSP, Python, etc.). Homestead and many other web hosting services offer tools that design sites for you. Homestead offers over 2,000 professionally designed web site templates in over 100 business categories. Homestead also offers military web site templates. Homestead Site Builder has graphics, “layered graphics“, sound, and flash animation. Homestead offers domain registration services including domain locking and private registration. With Homestead Technologies there is no need to learn masking or web site forwarding. Homestead also offers email services, SEO, online stores and much more.
One draw-back to Homestead is they are currently offering a 2 year maximum domain registration. Many search engines give better rankings for domain names registered for longer periods 5 to 10 years. Homestead web sites are easy to register and verify with Google webmaster tools. I use Google to verify Homestead sub-domains. Homestead gives you eight sub-domains with each package you purchase. I also host my domains on Homestead DNS, that I register on godaddy.com.
I had a hard time working with domains using Register.com they advertise on my domains and ask that you pay more (premium service) to stop them from advertising on your domains. I phoned them to unlock my domain so I could transfer it to another host at which time they offered me a lifetime of their premium service (no ads) for free.
I use my own version of yahoo tools to perform "character counts." I also use Networksolutions.com to register domains and email. I like the ease of web forwarding, masking and private registration networksolutions.com offers. I have had trouble getting networksolutions.com web forwarding domains verified on Google and I‘m forced to use (advertise) the Homestead URL. I can verify the domains using a Homestead URL but it looks unprofessional. I can also change the DNS settings to host the site on Homestead which hides the homestead URL. Network Solutions costs more than most domain register companies, but when I phoned them to unlock and transfer my domains they reduced the price to under $10.00 per domain.
I have tried godaddy.com twice their web forwarding and masking service can be set up without contacting them with a few simple clicks. godaddy.com has complex coding which require DNS tweaking to make it work with Homestead. Sometimes web forwarding takes up to two weeks. The same service with networksolutions.com takes a matter of minutes with no coding.
Google will not crawl Java script and Homestead does use Java script site navigation tools. I never use Homestead site navigation tools, I simply build my own. I never use Homestead sound, sound files interfere with my affiliate tools like Google Youtube.com which use sound.
Google is allowing scammers to use their AdSense program to steal millions of dollars in one of the biggest Internet fraud schemes in years. Google does not pay weekly, Google pays monthly. The big rip-off to this scam is your credit card will be billed from now on at about $40 a month and you get nothing.
The Google AdSense program is FREE
Google AdSense has kicked hundreds of thousands of webmasters out of their program for "click fraud." Only 6% of people that surf the net click on ads, any ads. If you make more than $400 a year with Google you risk the chance of being kicked off their program forever.
It does not matter if you click the ads yourself or have other ISP's click the ads. If more than 6% of your total web traffic click the ads you will be terminated.
